  Leading domestic handset manufacturer Micromax has partnered with telecom service provider to launch a phablet called Canvas Blaze for Rs 10,999. It will come bundled with free voice and data benefits.
The Canvas Blaze is available across all leading retail outlets in India. The company said that the collaboration is aimed at driving the mobile Internet penetration in the country.
Canvas Blaze features a 5” full touch display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor featuring. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with 1GHz dual-core CPU with integrated EVDO and a GSM modem.
MTS said that it provides high speed data services on 3G EVDO. It packs in 1850 mAh battery and sports 8.0MP rear camera with flash; 0.3MP front camera. It has Bluetooth v2.0 and WiFi as connectivity options.
The dual-SIM device comes with an attractive bundled offer from MTS offering free data and voice benefits for 6 months from the date of purchase.
The company in a joint statement said that device has been exclusively designed by Micromax for MTS’ customers. They said that this will significantly enhance user experience while accessing data services on MTS’ network.
The company is offering free 1000 minutes for MTS to MTS local calling and free120 minutes for other local and STD calls.
