Amazon on Wednesday launched its best selling e-reader—the all-new Kindle Paperwhite for the Indian market. It is available for pre-order starting Wednesday at its official website.
The company has priced the new top-of-the-line Kindle Paperwhite at Rs 10,999 while the new Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi + 3G has a price tag of Rs 13999.
It will also be available offline across 250 retail outlets across India including Croma, Reliance Digital, E-Zone, UniverCell and Vijay Sales stores located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Pune.
It comes with new display technology with higher contrast, next generation built-in light, new, 25% faster processor, new touch technology with 19% tighter touch grid, new Kindle page flip, new vocabulary builder, new smart lookup and new in-line footnotes
It boasts of Cloud Collections, 8 weeks of battery life, Built-in Wi-Fi and free 3G and massive selection
The device which the company claims features new display technology with higher contrast will and will begin shipping February 4, 2014. It has the next generation built-in light, a faster processor, the latest touch technology, and exclusive new features designed from the ground up for readers.
