  The major US PC maker HP has launched its compact Android devices the Slate7 VoiceTab and Slate6 VoiceTab bearing a look of a phablet for the first time in India.
The Slate7 VoiceTab is priced at Rs. 16,990 and Slate6 VoiceTab at Rs 22,990. Though there is no word from the company about the availability of Slate7 VoiceTab, the Slate6 VoiceTab will be available from Friday.
The common features of these voice tabs are a quad-core processor, 3G support, dual-SIM, and dual standby connectivity with voice calling.
The HP Slate6 VoiceTab phablet comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a Marvell PXA1088 SoC with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. The HP Slate6 and comes with dimensions of 165x82.6x8.98mm and weighs 160 grams.
It comes with comes with 16GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The tablet sports a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera.
The dual-SIM Slate7 VoiceTab features a 7-inch (1280x800 pixels) HD IPS display and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and also houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 16GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It weighs 325 grams.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned the comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, EDGE, GPRS and 3G (via SIM). It has a large a 4100mAh battery. Other features include 25GB of free cloud storage from Box preloaded apps such as HP e-Print, HP Connected Photo, HP File Manager and HP Connected Music.
