Telecom’s biggest fair, Mobile World Congress is witnessing major announcements in the mobile world. Sony on Monday has launched Xperia Z2 tablet, world's thinnest and lightest that the company claims. It has 10.1 inch display with 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution. It has Full HD screen which boasts Sony's Triluminos and new Live Colour LED technologies. It measures 6.4mm in thickness and weights just 426gm.
It runs on Android’s latest 4.4 KitKat OS and is powered by 2.3GHz quad-core processor. The tablet packs 3GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be increased up to 64 GB via microSD card. Xperia Z2 is a waterproof tablet and according to the company can withstand 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes.
The tablet has an 8 megapixel rear camera and 6000 mAh battery. Sony's new tablet is both thinner and lighter that Apple's iPad Air.
