US-based technology startup Azoi launched a health monitoring device embedded within a mobile case, which measures vitals such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and electrocardiography (ECG), etc. Wello, a new mobile health tracker, is equipped with a set of powerful sensors that can be used to check vitals within seconds.
Designed to be used anywhere, anytime, this case can check blood pressure, ECG, blood oxygen, temperature and lung function. This polycarbonate case has got two hidden sensors and two hidden ECG leads. There is a power switch to power up the case.
“There’s no consumer-facing device like Wello in the market. It can monitor health and let people check normal health levels without going through 200 lab tests. We are working on apps for iPhone and Android, which will let you track your medical history,” Ami Karnik, co-founder and head of strategy for Azoi Inc said at an event in Delhi on Thursday.
Wello, a new mobile health tracker Compatible with iPhone and Android smartphone, Wello can be clipped to an iPhone 4s, 5 and 5s. But it has to be used independently to work with an Android smartphone running KitKat. One has to install the Wello app to work. Users simply need to hold it for a few moments while hidden sensors take measurements and pass on gathered information to the Wello app.
The Wello, a new mobile health tracker is available in India on pre-order through its website for Rs 12,350. However the shipment will begin from August 2014. |
