Lenovo has launched the A526 smartphone in India for Rs. 9,499. The device will be available starting Saturday, i.e. 5 April 2014 at the company's online and retail stores.
Lenovo A526 is a dual-SIM smartphone with dual standby. It runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It has a 4.5 inch display with 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor with 1GB RAM.
"Out of the 876 million mobile phone users in India, about 10 percent of the users own a smartphone. However, today there is an influx of devices specifically targeted at this untapped segment in fast-growing markets like India. With the Lenovo A series range, we are looking at revolutionizing the concept of budget phones in India by offering consumers a superior smartphone experience at an affordable price point", said Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India.
The device sports a 5 megapixel fixed focus rear camera with VGA front-facing camera. Lenovo A526 comes with 4 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
For connectivity Lenovo A526 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, AGPS and 3G. It is backed by a 2000 mAh battery and is available in Blue colour variant. |
