Tata Docomo has announced the launch of ‘Stretch’ recharges to meet the data needs of its pre-paid GSM subscribers. The launch of ‘Stretch’ recharges will cater to light and medium data users, who either end-up wasting a lot of data in their expensive monthly plans or use data on ‘pay as you go’ rates which are super expensive per MB of data.
The ‘Stretch’ recharges start at Rs. 136 and offer 60-day validity at the price of just 30 days, albeit for a slightly lesser quantum of data. These recharges are tailor-made for the consumer who needs a data connection for their communication rather than entertainment needs.
“With the proliferation of smartphones and the growing popularity of social-networking and chatting as means of communication, data access has become an integral part of the communication needs for a diverse set of consumers. Gearing up for this emerging scenario, we have made aggressive investments to improve the data network as well as created products based on the usage insights of light, medium and heavy users of data. This set of Stretch recharges is merely the first step”, said Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head Marketing - Tata Docomo.
