BlackBerry is expected to launch its much talked about low-cost smartphone, the Z3 in India on June 25. The company is sending invites for the event that is scheduled next week with a tagline, ‘Join us to witness the unveiling of the next generation BlackBerry 10 device’.
After the successful launch of BlackBerry Z3 in Indonesia, it is expected to hit the Indian markets for sub Rs 15,000 price tag.
Blackberry Z3 is a mid-segment handset with a 5 inch full touch display and a 540x 960 resolution. It runs on the latest version of BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS. This is the first phone which is produced in partnership with Taiwan’s Foxconn.
The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1.5GB RAM. The phone also gives a 5 megapixels rear camera and a 1.1 megapixels front-facing camera.
The new Jakarta version of the phone started selling in Indonesia from May 16and got great response. With this handset, BlackBerry hopes to recapture its lost position in the market.
