Samsung's Gear Live and LG's G Watch are the first devices to adopt the new Google software specifically designed for wearables. Both watches can be used with any Smartphone running Android 4.3 and above is now official, and the two devices have been listed on Google Play Store in India.
The LG’s G Watch will be available for pre-order from Google Play starting June 25 in 12 countries including United States, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea and Japan. It will also available soon after at retailers in 27 markets such as Australia, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Russia. LG G Watch is available for purchase at a price of Rs 14,999 with deliveries starting July 8. The watch is available in Black Titan and White Gold colours.
Samsung Gear Live is also listed at Rs 15,900 with a 'coming soon' tag. The other Android Wear smartwatch we know about, the Moto 360, will only be available later in the American Summer.
LG’s G Watch
LG’s G Watch comes with 1.65-inch IPS (280x280 pixels) display. It is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and 400mAh battery as well.
LG G Watch comes with changeable straps, accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, and is dust and water resistant for up to 30 minutes in one metre of water.
It has Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a 9-axis sensor. Its dimensions of 37.9 x 46.5 x 9.95mm, and weighs in at 63 grams.
Samsung's Gear Live Watch
Samsung's Gear Live Watch comes with 1.63-inch Super AMOLED (320x320 pixels) display. It is powered by 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and 300mAh battery as well.
Samsung's Gear Live Watch comes with changeable straps, accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, and is dust and water resistant.
It has Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a 9-axis sensor. Its measures 37.9x56.4x8.9mm, and weighs 59 grams. It also has a heart rate monitor feature as well.
The smartwatches are equipped with Google's voice recognition service and can perform simple tasks including checking email, sending text messages and carrying out an online search at users' voice command. |
