Gionee, on Tuesday launched its flagship world's slimmest smartphone, the Elife S5.1 in India for Rs. 18,999. Elife S5.1 will go on sale in India from the first week of December. The main attraction is its 5.1 mm thickness comprising both glass and metal. However, Oppo last month broke the record by launching its Oppo R5 handset with just 4.85 mm thickness.
The Gionee Elife S5.1 features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with pixel density of 320ppi. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Amigo 2.0 UI onboard and is powered with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM. It comes in 16 GB non-expandable built-in storage.
Gionee's Elife S5.1 comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. For connectivity it includes 4G/LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, and OTG connectivity. Slim in size, the device weight is just 100 gram including a 2100 mAh battery. It will be available in Black, White, Pink, and Mint Green colour variants.
The officials from the company claim that by the starting of 2015, all smartphones priced above Rs 10,000 will have LTE feature. Its S series devices namely Elife S5.1 and Elife S5.5 will also feature LTE. Gionee will soon launch four devices V6L LTE, Pioneer P5L LTE, P4S and P6. |
