HP, on the new year eve launched the HP Stream 8 Windows 8.1 based tablet in India for Rs. 16,990. The tablet is available on sale through company's official store. The device measures 124x209x8.9mm and its weight starts at 388 grams.
The HP Stream 8 is a single SIM 3G-enabled device and runs Windows 8.1 operating system. It features an 8 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The HP Stream 8 tablet is powered by 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3735G processor coupled with Intel HD graphics and 1GB of DDR3 RAM.
The device sports a 5 megapixel auto focus rear facing camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It comes with 32GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 32GB using microSD card.
For connectivity, HP Stream 8 includes: 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is power backed by a 4000 mAh Li-ion battery.
