Motorola has introduced the second-generation Moto E smartphone along with the LTE variant of the handset in the Indian market. The Moto E (Gen 2) 3G variant is priced at Rs. 6,999. The second-generation Moto E will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
However, Motorola has not revealed the price for the Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) LTE variant and also the release date for both the handset. The handset measures 129.9x66.8x12.3 mm and weighs 145 gm.
Moto E features a 4.5 inch qHD display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 256 ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The Moto E (Gen 2) LTE is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306. Unlike Moto E first generation, new Moto E supports single-SIM.
Moto E (Gen 2) comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. It comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
For connectivity, Moto E (Gen 2) includes - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. The new device is power backed by a 2390 mAh battery compared to 1980 mAh battery on the first-generation.
Moto E (Gen 2) LTE variant will be in direct competition with the Lenovo A6000 priced at Rs. 6,999, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G available at Rs. 9,999 and Micromax Yu Yureka priced at Rs. 8,999. |
