HTC, on Thursday launched the HTC Desire 820s 4G/LTE enabled Android smartphone in India for Rs. 25,500. However, it will be available at a market operating price of Rs. 24,890. It is the successor HTC Desire 820 smartphone. HTC Dot View case will also be available for the HTC Desire 820s, but its price is still unknown.
"Our customers are gradually looking for bigger screens, faster processors, network speeds and outstanding battery life. They are creating and consuming rich video content and want greater freedom to personalise their smartphones. We know they love the flexibility that comes with expandable memory," said Faisal Siddiqui, President, South Asia, HTC.
HTC Desire 820s features a 5.5 inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM. The dual-SIM device runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS with HTC Sense and HTC BlinkFeed on top. HTC Desire 820s sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8 megapixel front camera.
The device comes with 16GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. For connectivity it includes - Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. The device is power backed by a 2600 mAh Li-polymer battery and is rated to deliver 12.1 hours of talk time and up to 560 hours of standby time on 3G. |
