Lenovo has launched the A5000 smartphone in India. The smartphone will be available on company's online store at Rs. 9,999. Smartphone launched last week in Russia at RUB 12,000. Currently, Lenovo's TheDoStore is taking pre-orders for the smartphone and lists April 30 as the shipping date.

Lenovo A5000 dual-SIM smartphone comes with 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 300ppi. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor with 1GB RAM and and Mali T760-MP2 GPU.

Lenovo A5000 dual-SIM smartphone also has 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Its inbuilt storage is 8GB which can be expandable up to 32GB through microSD card.

For connectivity options smartphone has GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth with 4000mAh battery which can deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks.

The company also touts that the smartphone's Quick Charge feature allows the battery to get fully charged in 3 hours while a 15-minute charge offers up to 4 hours of talk time. The smartphone also has the sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.

The company also claims that the smartphone features rain and splash-proof screen protection as well.

Lenovo A5000 dual-SIM smartphone measures 140x71.4x9.98mm, weighs 160 grams.

Lenovo A5000 dual-SIM smartphone will be available in White and Black colour variants.
