Xiaomi has launched its first 'Made in India' smartphone, the dual-SIM Redmi 2 Prime smartphone in India, priced for Rs. 6,999 with 4G support feature, both SIM card slots support 4G networks. The smartphone will be available exclusively through company's online store, Mi.com including Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal as well.

Smartphone has been manufactured by the company's first phone plant in Visakhapatnam.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime smartphone comes with 4.7-inch IPS Sharp display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution and 312ppi pixel density. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with company's own MIUI 6, powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (MSM8916) with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime smartphone also has an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera. Its inbuilt storage is 16GB which can be expandable up to 32GB through microSD card.

For connectivity smartphone has Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options with 2200mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime smartphone will be available in Green, Pink, Yellow, Black and White colour variants.

The Smartphone measures weigh 133 grams and thick 9.4mm.
