Panasonic India, on Thursday announced the release of its security-oriented smartphone, the Eluga Mark. The dual-SIM device is available at a best buy price of Rs. 11,990, the Eluga Mark comes enabled with enhanced privacy features such as a fingerprint sensor and Android-For-Work for enhanced IT security & BYOD support.
“With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on “Make in India” and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India.
Panasonic Eluga Mark features a 5.5 inch IPS display available in either a Royal Gold or Metallic Grey finish. It is powered by an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor and is loaded with 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal memory that is further expandable up to 32GB with a micro SD card.
Eluga Mark features a 13 megapixels rear camera optimized by LED flash and a 5 megapixels front camera. The device is equipped with a full 4G/LTE connectivity package including advanced A-GPS global positioning technology. The phone is power backed by a 2500 mAh battery. It also features Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth™ 4.0 and Micro USB 2.0 with Light Sensor, Proximity sensor & Accelerometer. The Eluga Mark comes with the FitHome user interface engineered exclusively by Panasonic, which is distinctive in nature and enables single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen.
With smartphone users increasingly storing and accessing sensitive business and personal data on their devices, Panasonic’s latest offering comes with complete protection for personal accounts, cloud data and the fingerprint touch sensor allows single touch access where users can configure up to 8 different finger prints at a single point of time. The Mark comes equipped with Android for work support, which allows enhanced IT security and BYOD (bring your own device) compatibility for private smart devices to operate on secure corporate networks. |
