Apple CEO starts India visit with telecom biggies Reliance Jio and Vodafone; Airtel next in line
TT Correspondent |  |  18 May 2016

Apple CEO today started his high profile India visit by meeting Vodafone CEO Sanjay Kaul and Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani’s son. Mukesh Ambani group is set to launch India’s largest 4G network.

The iconic company has all big Telcos in its schedule of meetings.

He will also meet Tata group chairman Cyrus Mistry at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. He is also scheduled to meet top brass of Airtel, India’s largest telecom service provider.

Even though Apple is much bigger than its smar phone rivals in many countries, in India it has a small market share. Indian market is dominated by Android phones. The company has slashed prices of its old models in India.
