Intex expands VAS ecosystem with Tata mRUPEE

Intex Technologies, on Thursday announces its partnership with mRUPEE, a Tata Teleservices subsidiary, to launch their first ever mobile wallet - ‘Intex MyWallet’ which will be user’s new destination of making all payments with easy and quick integrated payment functionalities and conveniences within the device related to recharge, money transfer, shopping, booking train, movie bus tickets and much more in just once click.

“Intex is at the forefront of digital expansion in India through its mobile ecosystem and our collaboration with mRUPEE is in-line with our focus to offer the customers additional value which is being created right from Video, Gaming, Healthcare, Utility, Entertainment, Ecommerce/Mobile advertisement all packed in their handsets at customers fingertips,” said Vineet Singh, Head – VAS, Intex Technologies.

As part of the tie-up,  Intex will also launch a white labelled retailer portal wherein the Intex retailers will get opportunities to get higher share of customers wallet by offering retail assisted services of recharges, bill payments, utilities & money transfer in just one click.

“The tie-up gives us an opportunity to serve both our and Intex customers by providing them a safe, secure and convenient mode to pay. The tie-up confirms our commitment to innovate in every aspect. MMPL focuses on providing transaction avenues to the customers using the mobile wallet platform and we are happy to leverage the partnership with Intex which will enable us cater to a larger audience,” said Pradeep Kumar Sampath, COO, MMPL.

The Intex wallet customers will be rewarded for accessing content and other utilities which will help them in earning loyalty bonus which can be further redeemed for various utilities like their talk time & recharges. These loyalty rewards will ensure upward movement in customer value chain and will allow the customers to upgrade to the next category of Intex handsets which the company will be launching in the near future thereby fostering brand loyalty.

mRUPEE had previously tied up with IRCTC to provide a payment gateway, allowing users one-tap payments for rail ticket bookings. It also had a tie-up with SmartD, a lifestyle management platform where it acts as the payment medium by helping consumers apportion and manage their day to day expenses.
