OnePlus, on Thursday, globally announced the launch of its much awaited OnePlus 5T flagship smartphone. OnePlus 5T comes in two variants. The 64GB + 6GB variant is priced in India at Rs. 32,999 and the 128GB + 8GB model is priced at Rs. 37,999. Sales in India, North American and European markets will begin from November 21. OnePlus will have some offers and discounts on accessories on launch day.
OnePlus 5T has a 6 inch OLED display and comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9. For screen protection it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It features fingerprint sensor and facial recognition unlocking. The face recognition technology will map 100 points in the users' faces to unlock the device.
The device is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU. This comes paired with 6GB RAM for the 64GB internal storage variant, and the higher 8GB RAM for the 128GB variant.
OnePlus 5T features a f/1.7 aperture and 27.22mm focal length for better lowlight photos. It comes with 16 megapixel front camera and the rear camera at 20 megapixel. This camera comes with improved portrait mode, low-light photography, and video stabilisation compared to its predecessor.
The device is power backed by a 3300 mAh battery with Dash Charge technology. OnePlus 5T claims that it ensure the new handset loads apps and games faster than any other smartphone in the market.
For connectivity, OnePlus 5T includes - 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2x2, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port. It includes accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and an RGB sensor. The smartphone weighs 162 grams and measures 156.1x75x7.3mm. |
