Tandberg, in an effort to make high-quality video conferencing accessible to more people, announced the launch of T1, an instant telepresence system and a new advanced VoIP video phone.
The company’s latest offering T1 is Tandberg’s first telepresence system to integrate 1080p resolution and boasts of other hosts of features like slim-line 65" custom LCD screen, high quality stereo sound and a PrecisionHD 1080p camera designed to enhance direct eye contact.
The 1080p resolution is made possible by the new TANDBERG Code C90 Telepresence Engine which offers the flexibility of 12 HD video inputs, four HD video outputs, and a built-in audio mixer with 16 audio inputs and eight audio outputs.
Meanwhile, Tandberg''s E20 videophone consists of a standard VoIP phone set with a 10.6-in., 1280-by-760-pixel screen mounted on it and a DVD-quality 5-megapixel camera mounted on top of the screen. The phone will hit the market in the fist quarter of 2009.
The company’s telepresence system and the videophone are priced at $69,900 per site and $1,499 respectively. |
