Polycom aims to consolidate its hold on tele-education segment in India

Global video-conferencing major, Polycom expects India to adopt tele-education in a big way and hence hopes to garner a major share of this lucrative segment.

 

According to the company, the e-learning market in India is worth about $3 million and is expected to grow at a rate of 17-18 percent annually. The company says that such virtual classrooms offered by tele-education deployments will address the issue of paucity of trained teachers.

 

The company aims to extend its count of agreements signed with various state and cental governments agencies for tele-education initiatives.
