ECI Telecom said it will demonstrate an upgraded version of its Hi-FOCuS Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN) range of products which will have gigabit passive optical network (GPON) optical line termination (OLT) with a built-in network processor at the Broadband World Forum Asia Conference in Hong Kong.

Claiming it to be the world’s first GPON solution with high bandwidth network processor, the company said that the solution enables the execution of market leading functionalities like advanced quality of service and security and further allow network operators to introduce advanced revenue generating services with unique flexibility for future upgrades.

Moreover the solution supports existing broadband requirements including xDSL or TDM voice services and offers two new platforms, F152 and F61 which will enhance the MSAN technology portfolio, claims the company.
