PCCW receives bids for 45 % stake in its Group Holding firm

PCCW, the largest telecommunication enterprise in Hong Kong has received interest from several US private equity firms over sale of 45 percent stake worth $2.5 billion in its HKT Group Holdings Ltd.

 

Some of the firms which bid for the stake include TPG, Providence Equity Partners, Macquarie, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Blackstone Group. However the owner of 20 percent stake in PCCW, China Netcom did not express interest in the bid.
