Polycom has announced two new products, namely Polycom Converged Management Application (CMA) and RMX 1000 to ease off the video conferencing activities for enterprise and SMBs.

The Polycom Converged Management Application promises to simplify the deployment and management of enterprise video networks and the use of desktop, group and telepresence solutions for users. New features incorporated into the system include support for Windows Server 2003, standards-based profile provisioning, standards-based presence, support for up to 5,000 registered users and 1,500 concurrent calls and directory service support that includes LDAP/H.350 directory services, multiple directory support, and tiered directory support.

The most prominent feature incorporated includes the CMA desktop component capable of supporting high definition video, content and voice. 

Being a scaled down-version of RMX 2000, its other product, RMX 1000 available at $21000 is specially designed for the SMBs and supports a lower data rate and total users per platform.
