Sprint Nextel, Samsung to unveil ‘AIRAVE’ mini cell tower in US

Sprint Nextel Corp. will launch a new hardware in collaboration with Samsung to enhance wireless network in home or office on Aug 17 in US.

 

The newly launched, Sprint AIRAVE manufactured by Samsung is a mini-cell phone tower that functions with any Sprint phone and broadband Internet connection.

 

A device costing $99.99 will be available in all Sprint stores. Further, the consumers will need to pay $4.99 per month to subscribe to the AIRAVE coverage wireless voice plan. In addition to it, they have to pay $10 a month for individuals or $20 a month for families to avail unlimited in-home calling service.

 

The new hardware doesn’t function in Nextel phones.
