CNN International selects Clickatell to offer SMS service for Beijing Olympics

Clickatell announced it has been selected by CNN International to offer SMS service for this month’s Beijing Olympics Games to users all over the world.

 

A particular service named free gold medal alert will allow fans all over the world to access real-time SMS updates with their preferred country’s gold medal tally. Further the users can access exclusive blogs written by CNN correspondents in Beijing, watch videos of latest sporting event, access events timetable and upload images or videos to CNN’s user generated service called iReport.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Laurel Chamberlain, Director of Digital Media for CNN International said “The broad global reach of Clickatell’s carrier-grade messaging infrastructure will enable us to reliably reach people around the world during this summer’s Beijing Olympic Games.”
