Kingfisher Airline intends to offer in-flight mobile, internet services

Kingfisher Airlines Limited has sought permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to allow the use of cell phones on the board in its about to launch Bangalore-London flight.

The company claims that it has made all necessary provisions to support all high-tech features of mobile handset without effecting operation of the aircraft. 

If the DGCA grants permission to the airline, then the service is mostly likely to commence on the Bangalore-London flight scheduled for launch on September 3. The company also plans to offer the internet services on this flight.
