Telefonica signs global partnership deal with Facebook

Telefonica has forged a global deal with social networking site- Facebook, extending their existing relationship that is confined to UK companies to all the companies across the world.

 

As a part of the agreement, users can access Facebook’s mobile service and applications from all of Telefónica’s mobile portals. The deal will be conducted in two stages- both for Europe and for Latin America.

 

The first stage will include Ireland, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. And second will engulf Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Central American countries, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

 

Upon completion of the incorporation, the participating countries cab include a link in the browsing menu of its mobile handsets to Facebook''s mobile service; enabling customers send digital content (photos and videos) through integrated MMS services.
