Bharti Airtel and Infosys today announced an agreement on innovation and technology partnership with an aim to offer enhanced end-user interactivity experience to the former’s DTH subscribers.
As part of the partnership, Infosys will provide a digital convergence platform which effectively will comprise of products including devices, application servers and interactive applications.
The tie-up highlights the applications will include interactive and non-intrusive applications like widgets that can be invoked by the user to view relevant and customized information with new services like iCity offering localised information while iNet enables DTH subscribers to get live and personalized stock quotes, breaking news, horoscopes, cricket scores and shopping deals in the city without interrupting their TV-viewing experience. Some special websites designed specifically for the Airtel’s DTH subscribers will be branded as tPortal.
