France Telecom reported a marginal increase in its third-quarter sales with 2.3 percent rise, as its prime operators remained largely unscathed by the global economic slowdown.
While its financial performance rested well in line with the market expectations, its third quarter sales rose to 13.55 billion euros from 13.51 billion euros a year earlier.
Revenue marched up to 13.55 billion euros from 13.51 billion euros, in line with the average forecast of 13.53 billion euros.
And its third-quarter earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were flat at 5.09 billion euros, on a like-for-like basis, which compared with the average forecast of 5.04 billion in a Reuters poll.
France Telecom, which operates under the Orange brand, said it was over all not impacted by the economic slowdown, only with the exception of Spain and some emerging markets.
The company confirmed its full-year target of generating more than 7.8 billion euros ($9.96 billion) in organic cash flow.
France Telecom slipped 74 cents, or 3.7 percent, to close at 19.52 euros in Paris trading. |
