Cashing in on the global trend of companies increasingly looking for means to cut telephone costs and with ever more companies opting for wireless LAN networks, Motorola has announced the release of Total Enterprise Access and Mobility VoWLAN products that will enable enterprises transmit voice over wireless LAN.
The product suite, which is empowered to scale up to 4,500 users, comprises of Windows Mobile smartphones and multiple servers that are incorporated with the company’s existing infrastructure.
Additionally, it includes two physical servers, the Wireless Services Manager and Network Servicers Manager. While the former one is capable of integrating with most major existing PBX systems, and it provides push-to-talk services, and enhanced battery life, mobility and security, the latter one offers centralized provisioning and management.
Currently, the product is available in North America and is anticipated to have a global reach in the first quarter of next year. |
