Chipmaker AMD is all set to commence a shake up in its EMEA region, whereby Emilio Ghilardi, the current Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD EMEA will be appointed as AMD Chief Sales officer and his position will be occupied by Albetro Bozzo, a former executive of HP.

Alberto will work as Corporate VP and General Manager for the EMEA sales and marketing organization and his organization will be divided in three teams, comprising of one responsible of channel component sales and sales to regional OEMs, the second taking care of sell out support to Multinational Accounts (“MNC”) and Commercial Market Business Development, and the third one looking after the retail marketing business development and one horizontal Marketing team.

Darren Grasby will lead the graphics team in EMEA and he will focus on Radeon sales and marketing for Radeon branded products.

Gerhard Zehethofer will continue to lead the EMEA Multi-National Corporation (MNC) Accounts Sales Team.

The shakeups were initiated to bring out consistent profitability and industry leadership, said the company.
