HTC Q4 revenues up 21 % mainly due to Android phone

Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC reported a NT$152.56 billion (US$4.61 billion) in revenues for the year 2008 at a yearly growth of 28.65 percent. Profit after tax was NT$28.68 billion with a net EPS of NT$38.03 for the year.

 

For Q4, the company’s revenues reached NT$47.38 billion at a yearly growth of 21.45 percent. The company claimed that sales target for Android phones and the Touch Diamond series were achieved during the quarter.

 

The company aims for a 20 percent growth in revenues in 2009 and may introduce 10 new models. It will also come up with 16,515 sq mtr production centre in Taoyuan, Taiwan at an investment of NT$355.62 million.
