IBM bags $19.2 mn add-on deal from Idea Cellular

IBM Cellular bagged a $19.2 million (around Rs 93 crore) IT outsourcing contract from Idea Cellular for the circles of Punjab and Karnataka.

 

The eight year deal will require IBM to provide integration, transition and migration of existing Spice application, hardware, packages and products to the Idea transformed applications platform. IBM will also manage all IT operations and services to Idea Cellular.

 

Idea has acquired Spice Communications operations in Punjab and Karnataka and has now launched the services under its brand name.
