Synchronica claims new deal with Chilean operator
TT Bureau |  |  16 Feb 2009

UK-based mobile push email service provider, Synchronica announced a new deal with Chilean operator, Entel PCS with the services being offered at a flat monthly rate of $4.90.

Rodrigo Baudrand, Business Solutions Manager at Entel PCS commented, “In today’s climate, being able to offer subscribers a low-cost mobile email service that works on existing handsets makes commercial sense. Synchronica Mobile Gateway fits our business model perfectly and is already proving that it can help to reduce churn rates and raise ARPU.”

Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica added, “Synchronica Mobile Gateway provides Entel PCS with an affordable, addictive and churn-busting mobile email solution for the mass market in Chile.  The service, priced at just $4.90 a month, signals a radical departure from the expensive solutions targeted at senior executives, yet offers a similar customer experience.”

Syncrohinca claims to offer affordable mobile email services which can be availed on even entry-level handsets. In India it has already tied up with ISP Sify mainly to target the enterprise segment.

Chilean operator, Entel says it has 43.4 percent market share in the country with its 6 million subscriber base.
