Motorola announced the availability of its newest enterprise digital assistant, a small and fully ruggedized handset directed towards the mobile and field workers.
Named the MC55 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA), the handset has a 3.5in 320 x 240 touch-screen, operational on Microsoft''s Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, it is bundled with a full suite of communication and data capture technologies, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a barcode scanner and camera.
The handset, which will be available immediately, can be seen in two distinct versions- MC5590 and MC5574.
While the MC5590 EDA offers wireless LAN and Bluetooth, the MC5574 EDA comes geared with wireless WAN, wireless LAN and Bluetooth.
Both the versions will be available with either a numeric or QWERTY keypad and has a lifecycle of three to five years.
The handset will be priced in the range of $1,695 (£1,200) and $2,135 (£1,512). |
