AUSPI, TTSL welcome reduction in IUC
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  10 Mar 2009

Association of Unified Service Providers of India (AUSPI), considered to be lobby of CDMA operators has welcomes regulator Trai’s reduction of the interconnection charges terming it as the step in the right direction. In fact is said that there is still scope for further reduction in the IUC.

“AUSPI also considers that the reduction in Transit Charge to Rs. 0.15 per minute is also a step in the right direction, but the Transit Charge could have been reduced even further,” said AUSPI.

Likewise, TTSL also welcomed the development as a company spokesperson said, "Tata Teleservices Limited has been advocating a reduction in termination charges for a long time. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has announced this now and we welcome the move—this will bring down tariffs and benefit the Indian telecom consumer."
