Ericsson bags $2 bn service contract from Sprint Nextel
TT Bureau |  |  14 Mar 2009

Ericsson has reportedly signed a $ 2 billion service contract from US operator Sprint Nextel. Swedish weekly, Affarsvarlden quotes its sources to have confirmed the deal.

The deal assumes significance because Sprint is speculated to outsource its wireless network processes to cut down costs. There is likely possibility that some of the work force might be transferred to Ericsson.

The two players however have not confirmed the development.
