Sistema Shyam Teleservices’ MTS announced the commercial launch of its mobile services in the sate of Kerala. The move follows similar launch held last week in neighbouring Tamil Nadu circle.
The initial launch of MTS will cover 117 towns across 6 districts of Kerala. Subsequently the services will be extended to 300 towns by June and 400 towns by July, said Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO of Sistema Shyam Teleservices.
Further to this, the company has earmarked investments worth Rs 750 crore for future expansion in Kerala circle over a period of five years.
MTS is offering subscribers one million of free talk time and the offer is branded as “Mattu Lifente Plan”. The free talk time will be offered as 150 free minutes daily on local calls from MTS to MTS, plus there will be a bonus of 10 free SMS daily to any network in India for lifetime. The MCard is available for Rs 499.
Other schemes on offer include MSaver 99 that will enable MTS-to-MTS unlimited local calls for Rs 99, and MSaver 30 giving free SMS all day sent to any local or national network in India after first two SMS.
