Motorola, the developer and provider of TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) communication solutions, said today it crossed the one million mark for TETRA shipments, as it delivered its one millionth TETRA terminal to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
The company, which plunged its TETRA journey in the country in 2001, continues to provide its TETRA solutions in India in the public safety sector while simultaneously gaining good footing in large and strategic infrastructure projects including metros and airports.
In its most recent undertakings, Motorola has been contracted to deploy digital trunked radio communication network (TETRA) for Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad International Airports to serve their round-the-clock mission-critical communication needs.
Motorola’s portfolio of TETRA solutions comprise of infrastructure, terminals, applications and services that are rendered to over 85 countries worldwide.
While making the announcement, Subodh Vardhan, sales director and country head, Government & Public Safety, Motorola India, said, “Design for use is our philosophy, which stands for our commitment and support to designing and deploying devices that address the unique requirements of high risk situations.
