Vodafone, OnMobile tie-up for VAS to tap emerging markets
TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  21 Apr 2009

Vodafone and OnMobile announced forging a tie-up for value-added services (VAS) to cater to emerging markets.

The tie-up will enable Vodafone and its subsidiaries as well as JVs around the world to deploy OnMobile''s products particularly those related to ringback tones, voice portal and speech-enabled services.

"Speech recognition based VAS has been successful in the emerging and fast-growing markets across Asia where delivering services in the local language is critical for adoption and use," said OnMobile Global CEO Arvind Rao.
