In a move to tap the robust netbook, or mini-laptops market, Ericsson on Thursday, unveiled its newest mobile broadband module, dubbed F3307.
Devised particularly for mini laptops, the module enables users to access internet, without using other connectivity solutions like dongles.
The F3307 offers download speeds up to 7.2Mbps and can upload up to 2Mbps, which is equivalent to that of a Wi-Fi module being used in many laptops.
Additionally, it is also tailored to consume less power, said the company.
To be accessed via the HSPA standard, the Ericsson F3307 has already received certifications from major cellular networks in 75 countries and is engaging in talks with Intel to certify the module with its next-generation netbook platform Pine Trail-M. |
