Huawei Technologies announced the availability of a new universal service router at the CommunicAsia in Singapore.
The NetEngine V6 400G-platform router promises to provide a capacity of 400 gigabits per slot (Gbps) and is fully compatible with all existing NE40E router linecards, claims Huawei. Huawei further claims that it is designed to handle the continuously increasing data traffic particularly the high-definition video streams in the ultra-high speed broadband era.
One the power consumption aspect, the company claims that the new product consumes 10 % les power as compared to competing products available in market.
