Sterlite bags Rs 372 crore GPON FTTH network contract from BSNL

Sterlite Technologies bags Rs 372 crore GPON FTTH network contract from BSNL Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology based Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) order from BSNL to be completed by FY10. The order is valued at Rs 372 crore i.e. $ 77 million.

The FTTH network by BSNL will span over 25 cities across India by 2012 and will benefit 2 million subscribers by giving them access to speeds as high as 100 mbps as well as numerous feature-rich applications.
