Kuwait-based Zain Group denied that it had received any interest to offload its stake to Middle East-based, Etisalat. Reuters had earlier reported that Etisalat’s international unit Head had said that the firm was interested in acquiring 51 % stake in Zain Group.

Zain had recently expressed desire to offload stake in some of the African markets.
