Leading global airlines service provider, Cathay Pacific Airways is betting big on the demand for updates over the mobile medium from passengers. The company has devised a new CX Mobile application compatible with BlackBerry and Windows Mobile handsets.
Cathay Pacific claims that the new application offers it competitive advantage as currently available competing applications are limited only to iPhone. More passengers will now be able to check flight arrivals & departures, check-in for their flights, read about the place they are flying to using ‘City Guides’ and also access all mobile services at m.cathaypacific.com from mobile devices.
A particular new application enables passengers to access the ‘Meet the Team’ function to gain information on profiles and pictures of the Cathay Pacific team. The feature is presently limited only to iPhone users.
Cathay Pacific Manager Marketing Communication Celine Ho says: "We are the only airline to offer a mobile application for so many different platforms, enabling us to reach out to more customers. The application has already proved very popular and we are pleased that an increasing number of frequent business travellers are carrying the Cathay Pacific brand in their pocket. We intend to stay ahead of the game in offering the most relevant technology and mobile solutions to make our loyal customers’ journeys even more hassle-free.”
The application is available for download at the iTunes store or by visiting m.cathaypacific.com. Interested passengers can also download the application over PC and send themselves an installation SMS. |
