New entrant Etisalat DB announced signing a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Tech Mahindra towards managing IT applications and infrastructure requirements across the 15 circles of operations. With this Etisalat moved a step closer towards launching its mobile services in the country having already forged a wireless infrastructure contract with Reliance Infratel.
The deal with Tech Mahindra is spread over a period of 10 years and is valued at over Rs 2000 crore (400 million).
Apart from the OSS and BSS solution, which tech Mahindra is known for, the deal will also require the Mahindra Group firm to oversee system integration and managed services responsibilities.
Confirming the association, Official Spokesperson, Etisalat DB said, “Tech Mahindra has the required domain and process expertise with a proven track record as part of Etisalat’s launch of operations in Egypt. We are confident that Tech Mahindra’s exhaustive pool of IT skills and innovative delivery models will assist us in the forthcoming roll-out of service in India and delivering the best services & customer experience in the market,” said Etisalat spokesperson.
