The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) India awarded Hyderabad-based VAS player, IMIMobile with the New Market Entrant of the Year 2009 award. The award was bestowed for demonstrating exceptional success as a start-up in the UK market, says IMIMobile.
Britain's Minister for Trade Investment & Business, Lord Mervyn Davies presented the award in the presence of Britain's High Commissioner in India Sir Richard Stagg.
IMIMobile first set its foot in UK with acquisition of content distribution company, dx3. In 2009 it acquired Music2You from NSN followed by Mobytec platform. It also has a tie-up with UK-based interaction service provider for publishers, Telecom Express.
