Synchronisation between BlackBerry and Mac made easy with RIM’s new Desktop Manager

Mac users will be able to integrate their applications with their BlackBerry phones thanks to the new Desktop Manager software developed by Research in Motion (RIM).

Henceforth Mac users will be able to smoothly and seamlessly sync data from Mac applications like iCal®, Address Book, Microsoft® Entourage®,  schedule automatic backups, encrypt backup files and install software updates, add & remove applications for their BlackBerry phones.

The new software also integrates BlackBerry Media Sync enbling Mac users to sync their iTunes as well.

The new solution will be compatible with Mac OS 1.5.5 and higher versions for those BlackBerry phones with OS 4.2 and higher.

The new desktop software is scheduled to be available for free download from www.blackberry.com/mac on Friday, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
