Sybase VAS solution subsidiary, Sybase 365 continued its slew of new initiatives forged in the last couple of days with the company today claiming that leading International remittance firm, Western Union has elected its solution for SMA notifications and mobile marketing.
Western Union will engage its loyalty card members who send money transfers from nine countries namely Belgium, Denmark, France, Gabon, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Sweden and the U.K. with the notifications sent over user’s preferred language including Swedish, Dutch, Danish and French. Western Union plans to extend the services to Gold Card members in six additional countries by year-end.
Customers who have opted-in to receive offers such as coupons, promotional codes and additional information on products and services will also be covered under the SMS notification services.
